'Try' is a dramatic short film which follows Eli, a young footballer on the verge of becoming a professional player. When he is about to achieve his life-long dream, he faces a huge set back that threatens his future.

Meals will be provided during production.

Rehearsal / production dates

The production period will be around the first two weeks of May. Scheduling depends on location and actors availability.

Eli (main character)

Eli is a footballer. He lives and breathes the game. This role will require an actor with a lot of range that can play high and low status scenes. It's ideal that the actor who plays this role has experience in sport/athletics.

Eli's mother is caring and protective. She wants the best for her son. The actress for this role will be able to bring warmth and depth to the character.

Football Team Members

Looking for a group of guys to be the rugby team. You need to be athletic and experience in rugby is favourable. There are some small speaking roles too if you're the right fit. You'll need to be able to learn choreographed football moves. Also, the only physical requirement is that you look like you play rugby. If this sounds like you, please apply.
